Car crashes into scooter, 2 other vehicles in Lauderhill, authorities say


WPLG—A person riding a scooter was seriously injured Thursday when they were struck by a vehicle in Lauderhill, authorities said. The crash was reported in front of a home at 1731 NW 34th Ave. According to Lauderhill Fire Department officials, the vehicle struck the scooter and two other vehicles. The person riding the scooter was thrown from it and was taken to Broward Health Medical Center in serious condition, authorities said. No other details were immediately released.

2 people hurt, 2 horses dead after car crash in Southwest Ranches. A car struck two people riding horses Sunday in Southwest Ranches, throwing the riders from the horses and killing the animals, officials said. A spokesperson for Davie Fire Rescue said the riders -- an adult guide and a 9-year-old child -- were seriously hurt in the crash along Griffin Road near Southwest 198th Street.
